thank you letters

the moon smiles at me tonight,
a glimmer of hope
of something good.

it is difficult for me
to write an unexpected letter
to a busy mailbox.

but I did,
and poured my heart out
on every letter, every prayer.

and when you started to read it,
tears started forming
for you didn't know my sincerity.

and I'm glad you listened to me,
considered my notions
and empathized with my emotions.

thus, I promise
to make you proud
and won't let anything go to waste.
