to immortalize a person through writing

when I get close to people,

I turn them into words,

so that I could immortalize them

with stories, songs, and poems

and I could tell the world

what they mean to me

tell me what my words are worth

when I write your name

as numerous as stars

just so when you look up,

you'd see how much I think of you

as much as how I write of you
